OTS Lists 35 CRA Exams Scheduled For Fourth Quarter 2004

WASHINGTON - The Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) announced today that 35 savings associations are scheduled for Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) examinations during the fourth quarter of 2004.

The dates listed are subject to change. The schedule is also posted on the Internet at www.ots.treas.gov.. Results of CRA exams are posted monthly on OTS's web site. Results for the examinations announced today will be posted as they become available.

CRA Examination Schedule

The Office of Thrift Supervision, an office of the Department of the Treasury, regulates and supervises the nation's thrift industry. OTS's mission is to ensure the safety and soundness of, and compliance with consumer protection laws by, thrift institutions, and to support their role as home mortgage lenders and providers of other community credit and financial services. OTS also oversees the activities and operations of thrift holding companies that own or control thrift institutions.
